SDG / Corporate Branding

With a £400m turnover, SDG group (formerly SCHd) aren't to be taken lightly. As part of SCH, Europe’s largest privately owned IT group, they sit in a market place that is both specialised and highly competitive. It was clear from the outset that a lot of initial research would be required, after all the brand had to be comfortable alongside major vendor brands like HP, VMWare, Windows, Citrix, Symantec, Fujitsu, IBM, Toshiba and many more - no pressure, hey!

Selling through various distribution brands, some of which have also been branded by Threerooms, SDG's new identity had to adapt and be built in such a way that the SDG umbrella impact is obvious while each of the individual brands can still shine through - a total of 8 different brands in all!

As part of a long-term brand development strategy, Threerooms created a broad brand palette, containing many elements that come together to form a unique and highly adaptable brand architecture, including a logo and then various brand elements and attributes.

Along with the brand creation came a comprehensive set of guidelines in various volumes, including core brand guidelines, email marketing templates with guidelines and also signage guidelines.

Alongside the branding, as is often the case, we were responsible for the design of the new website, designed in partnership with SDG's web development agency. Take a look at the website for yourself here: SDG website design. Various brochures, posters, displays and campaigns have also now been created.
